Question 1

Does It Cost Anything?

Accepted Answer

No. A Scout account is free: no monthly fee and no card to sign up. When a lead sells, you receive the price less Stripe's processing fee and Fr8Desk's $1.00 fee.

Question 2

Who Buys the Leads?

Accepted Answer

Dispatch companies that run on Fr8Desk. Only Scouts sell leads; desks buy them.

Question 3

How Do I Get Paid?

Accepted Answer

Connect your own Stripe account in Settings → Payments. When a sale's 72-hour window ends without a dispute, the money goes to your Stripe account and out to your bank.

Question 4

What Makes a Lead Pass?

Accepted Answer

An active DOT (and MC if there is one), not out of service, insurance on file, a valid phone, a name that matches FMCSA, and the carrier's own yes to being referred.

Question 5

How Do I Get the Verified Check?

Accepted Answer

Hold a 5.0 average over at least 5 ratings for 30 days in a row. It stays while your average is 4.8 or more.

Question 6

Can I Run a Dispatch Desk Later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrade to Fr8Desk from your account anytime. Your profile, ratings and payouts come with you.
